my mom and tannie ria were friends at school, lost contact and then bumped into each other years later, in the klersdorp woolworths (was good for something! )
the coetzee's have been friends with 'die koens' ever since
the only things is that the entire koen family (and i mean everyone) has been immigrating to canada over the last couple of years :(
the day i arrived tannie ria and oom gawie got their landing papers !
BIG thing ! huge milestone after tons of paperwork, lots of red tape, money and patience....
oom gawie and tannie ria took us for lunch at the the prince of wales hotel at waterton lakes national park ..
