colonia del sacramento,uruguay

colonia is a beautiful little town and the barrio historico is a unesco world heritage site.
the old town is full of colonial architecture, most of the streets are narrow and roughly cobbled lined with trees.
there is a central plaza, a lighthouse with stunning views, the oldest church in uruguay and a lovely harbour
it takes 3 hours by ferry form buenos aires
it is a lovely place to get away form the big city and just walk around and take pictures, enjoy some good food and a stunning sunset and then head back to BA :)

view from the cute little lighthouse

? last place i would expect a stencil of MR T

love these old graphics

the oldest church in uruguay (did not look that old to me )

an installation at the theatre
i loved it - it is really stunning !

some old ruins being held up by scaffolding

there are lots of old cars parked everywhere and i even saw some being driven
i think it is a 'thing' in this town
